Dr. Jackson practices pediatric ophthalmology with an interest in adult strabismus. He received his Doctor of Medicine from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston followed by an internship at John Peter Smith Hospital in Ft. Worth. He then attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, where he completed his residency. His fellowship took place at the University of Iowa where he was also a faculty member. From 1976 to the present he has been a part of the Austin Pediatric Education Program so that he may continue teaching.
Dr. Jackson is a member of numerous scientific professional societies and is known for his work in setting up saccadic velocity and oculinum research laboratories in Austin, Texas.
Sunset Eye Care refers pediatric surgical cases to Dr. Jackson, and he visits our office every two months.
